💗 Tensor earrings with Rose Quartz – gold-plated 925 sterling silver
A Lost Cubit in 925 sterling silver, covered with 18-carat gold: tensor ring, butterfly back and post plate. In the centre, a hand-cut rose quartz from India, a milky, delicately pink stone of the heart.
Under the gold plating there is solid 925 sterling silver. The plating itself is a layer, so with daily wear it can rub through on the edges over time, and then the silver underneath shows. The silver stays.

The pink comes from microscopic fibres of a mineral from the dumortierite group, dispersed through the crystal. That is why rose quartz is almost always cloudy, never glassily transparent, and for the same reason it looks better in a matt, generous cut than in small facets.

The sign of the ROYAL TERRA collection is the octagon, the figure eight, a figure of balance and flow. Gold-plated silver gives the same gold colour as 585 gold, at a price closer to brass.
