Tensor earrings with Labradorite – gold-plated 925 sterling silver
A Lost Cubit in 925 sterling silver, covered with 18-carat gold: tensor ring, ear hook and post plate. In the centre, a hand-cut labradorite from Madagascar, grey at rest, blue and gold under the light.
Under the gold plating there is solid 925 sterling silver. The plating itself is a layer, so with daily wear it can rub through on the edges over time, and then the silver underneath shows. The silver stays.

We cut the stones one at a time. With labradorite this matters especially: the cutter has to find the angle at which the stone lights up with colour, otherwise it stays grey.

The play of colour is called labradorescence and comes from the interference of light on thin, layered lamellae inside the crystal. The stone was first described in 1770 on the Labrador peninsula in Canada, but the best jewellery material comes from Madagascar today.

The Lost Cubit is a tensor geometry tuned to 177 MHz. The ring closes into a form which, in the tensor tradition, is meant to create its own field and hold the owner's intention.
The sign of the ROYAL TERRA collection is the octagon, the figure eight, a figure of balance and flow. Gold-plated silver gives the same gold colour as 585 gold, at a price closer to brass.
