🖤 Tensor earrings with Black Tourmaline – gold-plated 925 sterling silver
A Lost Cubit in 925 sterling silver, plated with 18-karat gold: tensor ring, butterfly back and post plate. In the center, a hand-cut black tourmaline from Himalayan deposits – the protective stone most often chosen in energy work.
Under the gold plating there is solid 925 sterling silver. The plating itself is a layer, so with daily wear it can rub through at the edges over time and then the silver underneath shows. The silver stays.

Mineralogically it is schorl, the commonest variety of tourmaline. Tourmaline is one of the minerals with piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties – under pressure or with a change of temperature an electric charge appears at the ends of the crystal. Most of its esoteric reputation rests on that one feature.

The Lost Cubit is a tensor geometry tuned to 177 MHz. The ring closes in a form which, in the tensor tradition, is said to create its own field and to hold the owner's intention.
