Short history of the brand VEL LEES
It all started with a unique friendship born in a Rzeszow tattoo studio. Mateusz Wójcik, CEO of a family jewelry company with nearly 40 years of tradition, visited Krystian Wolniak - a passionate advocate of esotericism and spiritual science - many times. Although one dealt by day with jewelry crafts and the other with tattoo creation, they quickly discovered a common interest in mysticism and ancient knowledge.
Krystian was the first to become fascinated with tensor rings, noticing their extraordinary energy potential. He approached Matthew with the idea of creating jewelry that would combine the spiritual properties of copper with a modern form. Together, they developed a unique clasp so that their product retains the properties of a tensor ring, yet can be unclasped and worn on the hand as a bracelet. It was a real breakthrough!
Seeking a name that would capture the spirit of Slavic tradition and emphasize the role of spiritual transformation, Krystian and Matthew were inspired by the figure of Weles - the god of prosperity and secret knowledge. However, they wanted something unique, so they combined the motif of Weles with the Latin word "VEL" (meaning "or, choice") and English "LEES" (wine sediment symbolizing ripening and transformation).
