What is a "cubit"?

"Cubit" (often called in Polish) cubitIn a historical sense, the term "cubit" is simply an ancient unit of measurement—roughly the length of a human forearm. Today, in esoteric and "energetic" circles, the word "cubit" has taken on a completely new meaning. It refers to a specific length (or its corresponding frequency), which—according to some researchers and practitioners—has therapeutic, protective, or harmonizing properties.

For example, the so-called Sacred Cubit cubit) is sometimes associated with the dimension used in Egyptian pyramids, and the frequency attributed to it is approximately 144 MHz. In turn, the Lost Cubit cubit) – supposedly rediscovered in the 1990s – is associated with deeper healing. Many people in the esoteric world use various variants of "cubit" tools, such as rings and pendants, believing that they emit a specific energy field.

So what does "a specific energy field" really mean in the context of cubitthat?

In simple terms, this assumes that a length of conductor (e.g., a metal ring) acts as an antenna. The more precisely the circuit is constructed, the stronger the resonance with the assigned frequency. It is based on this idea that the concept of "cubits" and their supposedly diverse properties arose.

"Subtle waves" and theory

Practitioners and authors who connect cubits with esotericism often refer to so-called subtle waves. What is this all about?

  • It is usually said that they cannot be measured with conventional scientific equipment.
  • According to many people, these waves can influence the human body, support the healing process or protect against harmful external radiation.

In practice, the Sacred Cubit, for example, is sometimes associated with the number 144 (hence 144 MHz) and referred to as the "fundamental harmony." The Lost Cubit is attributed to a resonance around 177 MHz and is associated with deeper emotional work.

So how do we approach these values in MHz?

Opinions differ here. Some publications claim this can be demonstrated using measuring instruments and electromagnetic wave research. Others say it's entirely metaphorical: 144 MHz is simply a convenient symbol; the number 144 appears in various spiritual messages, so assigning it to the Sacred Cubit reinforces the message.

The most common types of cubits

Just as there are various metal alloys (with varying proportions of components), esoteric literature offers many "variants" of cubits. Below are a few of the most popular—though there's no single, exhaustive list in this field.

  1. Sacred Cubit cubit)
    • Length: approximately 20.6 inches (approx. 52.3 cm).
    • Assigned frequency: approximately 144 MHz.
    • Application: considered "basic" cubit, serves to harmonize energy, protect and support the healing process.
    • Fun fact: It is sometimes associated with Egyptian pyramids and ancient royal measures, although in reality the exact values may vary depending on the sources.
  2. Lost Cubit cubit)
    • Length: approximately 23.49 inches (approx. 59.7 cm).
    • Assigned frequency: approximately 177 MHz.
    • History: According to reports, it was rediscovered in the 1990s by Hans Becker.
    • Application: help in deeper work with emotions, support in the therapy of trauma, stress and energy blockages.
  3. Empowerment Cubit (cubit Power/Strengthen)
    • Length: ok 28.86 inch (minor differences in publications).
    • Assigned frequency: in many sources it is not clearly defined, sometimes 188–190 MHz is given.
    • Application: strengthening self-esteem, motivation, and courage. Most popular in some circles in the US.
  4. Earth Resonance Cubit (cubit Earth Resonance)
    • Length: depending on the author: 15 inches, 21 inches or close to the Sacred Cubit.
    • Name: is connected with the theory of Schumann resonance (approx. 7.83 Hz), although in practice it concerns a higher frequency band.
    • Application: strengthening the connection with the Earth's natural field, grounding, reducing the impact of artificial waves.
  5. Royal Cubit cubit)
    • Length: approx. 20.60–20.62 inches, almost identical to the Sacred Cubit.
    • Differences: Sometimes considered a typical physical measure of ancient Egypt, the Sacred Cubit a spiritual version of the same measure. The differences are so small that some consider both cubits to be the same.
  6. Other, less popular cubits
    • Unity Cubit: associated with harmonization between people, different planes of existence.
    • Divine Cubit: the highest level of healing and contact with the "source" allegedly attributed to him.
    • Atlantean Cubit, Lemurian Cubit: are intended to suggest a connection with the mythical civilizations of Atlantis or Lemuria.
    • King's Chamber Cubit: is sometimes associated with the dimensions of the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid.
    • New Cubit, Galactic Cubit, Quantum Cubit: names introduced by various authors, often in channeled publications.

How are cubits used?

Before we answer this question, let us look at an analogy with metal alloys: just as the components of an alloy are selected to obtain a specific strength or color, in esotericism specific "wavelengths" (i.e. type of cubit) are selected to obtain a specific effect.

In practice:

  • Rings and pendants: The most common are copper rings (sometimes silver- or gold-plated) with precisely calculated circumferences. Some wear them as jewelry, others place them around rooms to harmonize the space.
  • Meditation exercises: Fascinated people cubitAmi use them during meditation. For example, they place the ring on the heart or third eye chakra, believing it intensifies the flow of energy.
  • Working with emotions: The Lost Cubit is recommended for those wishing to unravel deep psychological patterns. One can hold the ring in their hands, breathing calmly, and imagining it "dissolving" whatever is difficult emotionally.
  • Personal development: Empowerment Cubit is sometimes used to work on increasing self-confidence.

So how does science approach this?

Similar to research on alloy components, where each additive influences different properties, we would also like to conduct specific experiments here. However:

  • There is a lack of official, peer-reviewed studies that would clearly confirm the existence of “subtle radiations” and the impact of specific cubits on health.
  • Some in the scientific community believe that any improvement in well-being may be due to the placebo effect or subjective meditation experiences.
  • Proponents of cubits argue that the subtle energy field is not yet fully understood by modern physics and that we are only on the threshold of discovering new phenomena.

Does this really work?

Much depends on perspective.

  • For people with a spiritual and esoteric attitude – cubits can be a real tool for working with one's own energy. Many practitioners report feeling a distinct difference, and harmonizing space using rings is a daily occurrence for them.
  • For skeptics and scientists – the lack of hard evidence casts doubt on the existence of such interactions.

Just like in the case of the content of the base metal in an alloy, where we calculate proportions, here too – the measure of a cubit in inches, centimeters or the frequency associated with it is for some the essence of the action, and for others only an esoteric curiosity.

How to choose the “right” cubit?

From the perspective of someone who is just starting their adventure with this topic:

  • Sacred Cubit – often recommended as the most popular, universal choice.
  • Lost Cubit – for people focused on emotional work and spiritual blockages.
  • Empowerment Cubit – for those who want to strengthen their self-confidence and empowerment.

There are also proprietary systems in which the "choice of cubit" depends on dowsing tests (with a pendulum) or on which dimension "resonates" most with a given person.

Can you combine different cubits?

Yes, many people combine several types. Someone might have a Sacred Cubit ring at home and take a Lost Cubit to work. Others wear an Empowerment pendant and hang an Earth Resonance pendant in their bedroom. Just as combining metals in a single alloy allows for different properties, different cubits are believed to create different energy fields.

Where is the “Holy Continent” in all of this?

The concept of a "sacred continent" (Atlantis, Lemuria, Mu) most often appears in the context of channelings and legends about ancient, advanced civilizations. These accounts suggest that these societies possessed the secrets of geometry and energetics, including mysterious "cubit" dimensions. This gives rise to terms such as the Atlantean Cubit or Lemurian Cubit.

If someone says they have "cubit sacred continent", usually one of these mythical names is meant. However, there is no uniform measure generally accepted as the official "Sacred Continent of Cubit".

New trends and names

Have you heard of the Quantum Cubit, Galactic Cubit, or Elysium Cubit? Chances are, you have, as in recent years, more and more such variants have emerged, created by various authors and spiritual groups. Each adds their own narrative: a higher vibration, a new era, a new consciousness.

Is any of this "more real" than other cubits?

It's difficult to assess this objectively. The rule is that if someone announces the "discovery" of a new cubit, gives it a name, and describes its supposed effects, it may be accepted in the esoteric world if other people begin to confirm it with their own experiences.

Controversies and doubts

As with the certification of precious metals at assay offices (where we have strict procedures and measurement results), one would expect clear evidence of the existence of the 144 MHz or 177 MHz frequency in metal circuits. Meanwhile:

  • Consistent results are often lacking. One author measures the circumference and gets 20.60 inches, another 20.62 inches, and yet another 20.58 inches.
  • Rounding and loose interpretations are sometimes used. Hence, Royal and Sacred Cubit are sometimes treated interchangeably.
  • Scientific evidence for specific healing radiation is scant or anecdotal.
  • However, there are people who invoke alternative methods of measurement (e.g. dowsing, pendulums, long-term observations) and claim that in these categories they can detect differences between individual cubits.

Do we have to believe all this?

Some people use cubits as a curiosity. Others take them very seriously, composing large sets of rings and tools (often collectively referred to as Light-Life Tools, popularized m.in. by Slim Spurling).

The most important thing is to remember that:

  • Cubits do not replace professional medical therapy. If you have a serious medical condition, always consult a doctor.
  • The placebo effect can be very strong. Even if part of the effect of cubit is due to the user's belief, this does not disqualify it as a method of supporting well-being.
  • Subtle energy is an undefined concept in natural sciences. They can be treated as an element of a spiritual worldview.

Sample exercises and tips

As mentioned, some people use cubits in meditation or emotional work. Below are some typical practices that don't require advanced knowledge but can be interesting as a supplement to your own experiences:

Meditation with the Sacred Cubit

  1. Sit in a quiet place.
  2. Take the ring (approximately 52 cm in circumference), place it on your lap or hold it against your heart.
  3. Breathe freely, imagining your energy field becoming more harmonious.
  4. Spend 10-15 minutes doing this, observing if you feel any changes in your body or mind.

Working with Lost Cubit for Deep Emotions

  1. In times of intense stress or sadness, sit holding the Lost Cubit ring (approx. 59.7 cm).
  2. Breathe deeply and “pass” emotions through your body, allowing them to emerge freely.
  3. Some people describe a sensation of “dissolving” blockages in the chest or abdominal area.

Boost your confidence with Empowerment Cubit

  1. Gently place the ring on the solar plexus area (the area between the sternum and the navel).
  2. Think about situations in which you want to be more decisive.
  3. Say positive affirmations in your mind (or out loud) like: “I trust my power, I act with confidence and peace.”

Can it be measured "using common sense"?

Theoretically, yes, if someone has equipment for electromagnetic wave research or is familiar with dowsing techniques. However, in esoteric circles, the most common approach is:

  • Feeling tests (how do I feel about this ring?),
  • Pendulums (reaction to circumference length),
  • Meditation practice (do I notice a difference in the depth of concentration?).

The effects can be very subjective. Interestingly, some dowsers claim that even a minimal difference in length (e.g., 0.1 inch) causes a jump in frequency, which can alter the cubit's performance.

Why are new cubits constantly being discovered?

This can be compared to the development of new metal alloys, where each creator experiments with proportions to achieve new properties. In the spiritual realm, the appearance of "Galactic" or "Quantum Cubit" often results from:

  • New channelings and messages in which the authors claim to receive information about another "holy measure".
  • The desire to develop their own techniques and systems, to distinguish themselves from existing schools.
  • The need for spiritual progress, because if Sacred and Lost are just the beginning, there may be an even “higher” frequency to discover.

Do we need to know all the "variations" of cubits?

No, just as not everyone needs to know the entire catalog of metal alloys. In practice, many people limit themselves to the most well-known ones (Sacred, Lost, Empowerment) and treat the rest as curiosities.

Summary

What is a cubit?

An old unit of measurement that in esotericism became a term for specific lengths and frequencies.

The most popular types

  • Sacred Cubit (approx. 20.6 inches),
  • Lost Cubit (approx. 23.49 inches),
  • Empowerment Cubit (approx. 17.3–17.6 inches), as well as several other, less standardized variants.

Frequencies

Sacred Cubit associated with 144 MHz, Lost Cubit with 177 MHz; other frequencies depend on sources.

Applications

  • Meditation,
  • Working with emotions,
  • Harmonization of space,
  • Protection against "negative energies".

Controversy

No official scientific confirmation, differences in length and nomenclature, possible placebo effect.

Application

Cubity is a branch of esotericism that combines ancient legends with energetic concepts. For some, it's an important tool for spiritual development; for others, it's a curiosity with no scientific basis.

Therefore, just as with metal alloys, where the precision of the composition and the fineness of the sample are important, in the world of cubits, the precise circumference and frequency are important, which – according to practitioners – determine different energy properties.

Is it worth trying?

If you're curious, you can consider this an experiment in personal development. You might discover something valuable in it, just as we bring jewelry, amulets, or copper objects to work, believing in their positive effects. At the same time, remember that no cubit can replace conventional healing methods, and the decision to use any tool should always be conscious and responsible.
