Brief History of the VEL LEES Brand

It all began with an extraordinary friendship formed in a tattoo studio in Rzeszów, Poland 🇵🇱 Mateusz Wójcik, CEO of a jewelry company with nearly 40 years of tradition, frequently visited Krystian Wolniak – a passionate enthusiast of esotericism and spiritual studies. Although one was engaged in jewelry craftsmanship and the other in tattoo artistry, they quickly discovered a shared interest in mysticism and ancient knowledge.

Krystian was the first to become fascinated with tensor rings, recognizing their extraordinary energetic potential. He approached Mateusz with an idea to create jewelry that would combine the spiritual properties of copper with a modern design. Together, they developed a unique clasp that allows their product to maintain the properties of a tensor ring while also being opened and worn as a bracelet. This was a true breakthrough!

When searching for a name that would reflect Slavic tradition and emphasize spiritual transformation, Krystian and Mateusz drew inspiration from the figure of Veles – the god of prosperity and hidden knowledge. However, they wanted something unique, so they combined the motif of Veles with the Latin word “VEL” (meaning “or, choice”) and the English word “LEES” (wine sediment symbolizing maturation and transformation). This is how VEL LEES was born – a name that embodies the idea of freedom in choosing one's spiritual path and the process of inner growth leading to the discovery of true potential.

The core of the brand’s offering is copper, but for those seeking a more exclusive finish, tensor rings are also available in silver or gold.
