A brief history of the brand VEL LEES
It all started with a unique friendship born in a tattoo studio in Rzeszów. Mateusz Wójcik, CEO of a family jewelry company with nearly 40 years of tradition, frequently visited Krystian Wolniak – a passionate enthusiast of esotericism and spiritual science. Although one was engaged in jewelry craftsmanship on a daily basis, and the other in tattoo creation, they quickly discovered a shared interest in mysticism and ancient knowledge.
Krystian was the first to become fascinated with tensor rings, seeing in them an extraordinary energetic potential. He approached Mateusz with the idea of creating jewelry that would combine the spiritual properties of copper with a modern form. Together, they developed a unique clasp that allows their product to retain the properties of a tensor ring while also being able to be unfastened and worn on the wrist as a bracelet.It was a true breakthrough!
In search of a name that would capture the spirit of Slavic tradition and emphasize the role of spiritual transformation, Krystian and Mateusz were inspired by the figure of Veles – the god of prosperity and secret knowledge. However, they desired something unique, which is why they combined the motif of Veles with the Latin word “VEL” (meaning “or, choice”) and the English “LEES” (the sediment of wine symbolizing maturation and transformation).
